"Hey Emm! Looks like you're having fun."
"Not really..."
"I was being scarastic."
"Yeah. I kind of figured that."
"Emm will you walk outside with me I need to tell you something." Emmalynn just nodded and stood up when Andrew took her hand. The walk to the front door seemed to take forever. The whole time she was worried about what he was going to tell her. And before she knew it she was standing face to face with the man she secretly loved for so long. "Emmalynn..." What why was he calling her by her full name he has never done that. Even the day they met he called her Emm and she loved it. To her it was a special name that only he used. "You have to understand this is hard for me. I have kept this in for so long and I am finally ready to tell you,"Andrew said.
"Andrew....It's ok whatever it is we can get through it."
"Emm....I love you!" It was silent for quite some time. Then finally Andrew spoke up. "Please say something. It took all my courage to tell you that."
"Andrew I love you too. I have for some time, I was always afraid to tell you though."
"Well that makes me feel a lot better. So, where do we go from here?"
"I guess we could start dating but I want to take it slow."
"Of course Emm... We will go at your pace. But it wont be easy for me."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because if I could I would marry you right now!" Emmalynn laughed at that. Together they went back inside and enjoyed the rest of the party.
Over the next week Andrew and Emmalynn spent a lot of time talking on the phone. Every morning before work Andrew called and made sure she had a good night. Then he would call her at lunch to make sure her day was going good. After work he called and they talked all night. One night Emmalynn gathered up enough courage to invite Andrew to dinner the next evening. He accepted. "What are we having?" Andrew asked.
"You'll have to wait and see."
"Emm... I don't know how much longer I can live like this."
"We will talk about it tomorrow."
"Ok...nite baby," Andrew said
"Nite."
